OTHER OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO MEET YOUR PLANS.These are basic packages, but we are able to alter the event according to your personal requests and ideas about the party.
(For instance, we have had a 4-hour event including parents and children that had a different schedule than what is listed below. Just talk to us about your ideas!) CAVEAT: Parties that include times after 5:30pm are subject to a surcharge to cover evening rates for artists. You are allowed 15 minutes prior to your party for set up time. Details will be confirmed at the time you book your party. See below for Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). After registration, adding guests above the number indicated in the original order will be $30 per guest -- additional ZoL staff cannot be guaranteed. Final number of guests must be made ten days before the event date. Less than ten days, participating guests above the pre-paid number will be an additional $35 each. Each participating toddler (1 to 4 year-old) attending the party will require a parent's individual help during the event. First 15-20 minutes:
As guests arrive, have fun with theme-related Coloring and free-draw. You may also bring your own sidewalk chalk and bubbles. You may provide a play list from your phone -- we have outdoor and indoor speakers available. |
Next 50-60 minutes:
Guests will complete one or two art activities relating to any theme you choose. One to three ZoL art instructors work with the children (depends on the size of the party). Supplies are included and projects will be ready to take home. NOTE: For younger children (age 4 and under) we will provide centers (ie: coloring, play dough, painting, pasting, building sets) for the children to explore and be creative with their parents, rather than traditional instructor-lead parties. BONUS: Since everyone will be taking home their personally created art projects, there is no need for goody bags for the guests! "BLACK LIGHT" parties follow the same schedule, but it is more of a creative "experience" rather than a specific themed art event. Guests typically decorate neon-color masks, make glowing clay sculptures, free-draw with neon markers, dance and end with a glowing snowball fight (cotton ball)! NOTE: Black Light parties are not recommended for children under 6 years. |
Last 30-45 minutes:
Cake/Food Time -- on the patio (parents provide all food, drink, and paper products for the event). Please allow time for clean-up before your event ends as we have additional parties coming in after yours! ZoL staff will clean up the art area at this time and assist you as needed. Tips are appreciated. NOTE: If your party/clean up runs late, you will be charged $75 for up to 30 minutes over. $150 for more than 30 minutes. |

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):
What covid precautions do you have at this time?
It is now optional for children to wear masks while indoors. We request they wash hands frequently and practice social distancing. We request only the parents of the birthday child actually enter the room where the party is being held. Other parents can drop off their child, or they may remain on the deck. Thank you for your cooperation!
May we bring food for the party?
Absolutely! Parents are in charge of bringing food (cake, pizza, catered -- whatever you prefer)
Bring your own paper products (and disposable tablecloths if desired).
You may arrive 15 minutes ahead of time to bring in food or special items for your party.
Food is only to be served for children on the patio/deck -- or in the ART room/Lounge area if weather is bad.
NO NUT items of any kind please.
What happens after the art activity?
The last 45 minutes of your event is designated "food time." This is entirely the parent’s responsibility- including the cleanup of all food -- Cookie cakes, cupcakes and brownies are super easy to clean up -- but you may bring what you want -- just remember to allow time for clean up when the children are done eating. NOTE: (Our artists will clean all art supplies. After they have washed and put away all the art supplies, they will try to help you with your party.)
Can I change my party theme after registering?
You can change the theme for the party up to 14 days prior to the party date. Our instructors plan for their parties well in advance.
Can I play MUSIC?
Of course! Please bring a playlist on your phone with music of your choosing.
We have several Bluetooth speakers with which you can play Pandora/Spotify/etc. via your pad, laptop or phone.
What about ADDITIONAL GUESTS?
If you have more guests arrive at the party, they will be an additional $35 per guest (for someone actually participating in the art activity, not just an attending adult). Please try to get an accurate guest count a week before the event so we can ensure the proper number of staff to manage the party.
What ages are allowed?
Any child having a birthday can have a party! However, as all of our art projects for our lessons, programs and events are designed for children 5 and up, children under the age of 5 require more parental/adult involvement. The activities for these younger children will be simpler, not instructor-led, and must have an adult present for each child. The Black Light room is usually not appropriate for toddlers. Please contact Amy to discuss options for toddlers.
What rooms are included in the party package?
Typical parties include only the Art Room and Patio area (Black Light Room for Black-Light parties). For inclement weather, the "Lounge" are may be used instead of the patio. Of course, the two kid's bathrooms and three adult bathrooms, as well as the kitchen area, are included in the package. PLEASE NOTE: basic party packages DO NOT include the Main Room (other than to pass through to other rooms). Please do not allow children to climb on or handle studio property.
What about parking?
We have eight parking spaces in front of our building. Be advised -- Parking is NOT ALLOWED at the Paw Palace next-door or across the street at QuickShot -- please do not park there, even for quickly dropping off/picking up. You may park in front of DeLongs (to our right, if you're facing the studio). Thank you for your cooperation.
Do ZoL instructors accept tips?
Tips are always appreciated, but not required.
What happens if we need to cancel?
There is a $100 cancellation fee applied to any refund.
Parties and private events are non-refundable unless 6 weeks notice.
